Return Codes and Item Photos

BoxBack is built around one simple problem: a household may have several return codes, but the person making the drop-off or handing a package to a driver may not know which item each code belongs to.

What to save

For each return, save:

• A screenshot of the return code, label, or instructions
• A photo of the actual item
• The store name
• Drop-off location, if you are taking it somewhere
• The return-by date or pickup date

Code detection

When you add a return screenshot, BoxBack looks for QR codes, barcodes, and useful return details. If it finds details, you can apply them before saving.

Code detection helps setup move faster, but you should still review the return before drop-off or pickup.

If no code is detected

You can still save the screenshot and use it later. BoxBack keeps the original image available in the return detail and full-screen code view.

If the item photo is missing

Returns without an item photo can still be saved, but they may show as needing a photo. Add the photo later from the return detail or edit flow.
