BoxBack Plus, Sync, and Sharing

BoxBack Plus is a one-time upgrade for receipt history, iCloud sync, and household sharing.

Purchase and restore

BoxBack Plus is purchased through Apple. In the app, open Settings, choose Unlock Plus or Manage Plus, and use the unlock button shown there.

If Plus is already unlocked, the purchase card says Plus unlocked. If you reinstall BoxBack or move to a new device, use Restore Purchases from the Plus screen.

iCloud sync

When enabled, iCloud sync keeps return data backed up and updated through Apple iCloud services associated with your Apple account. The Settings screen shows the current sync status, such as Off, Checking, Syncing, Ready, or Needs attention.

To turn on sync:

1. Open Settings.
2. Unlock BoxBack Plus if needed.
3. Name the shared list.
4. Tap Turn On Sync.
5. Use Sync Now when you want to push and pull the latest return updates.

Household sharing

Household sharing lets you invite trusted people to the same return list. Everyone on the list can see return details, item photos, codes, and receipt proof included in that list.

To invite people:

1. Unlock BoxBack Plus and turn on iCloud sync.
2. Add at least one return to the list.
3. Tap Invite People.
4. Send the iCloud invite from the share sheet.

The person you invite should open the link on an iPhone with BoxBack installed and sign in to iCloud. If they already have local returns, BoxBack asks whether to merge them into the shared list or replace them.

Only the list owner can rename the list or invite more people.

Leave a shared list

If you joined someone else’s list, Leave Shared List in Settings takes you off that list and restores your own returns on that iPhone.

If the owner removes you, BoxBack restores your own list the next time the app syncs.

Multi-return receipts

If one receipt covers more than one active return, BoxBack Plus can attach that receipt to multiple returns at once.
